About the course

Morals and Values Recognition is an 4-hour program. The goal of this class is to educate at-risk individuals about the dangers of continued criminal activity, and to intervene early to prevent recidivism. It is a court ordered educational group that focuses on evaluating ethics, morals, values, and integrity. Social and psychological influences are examined with the goal to improve the decision-making process of members in the group. Relapse prevention, anger management, substance abuse, theft, prostitution, and self-esteem are also topics covered within this program. Individuals who are charged with crimes such as theft by shoplifting, possession of marijuana, minor in possession of alcohol (MIP), obstruction of justice, and other similar misdemeanor crimes are commonly recommended to complete this program by Gwinnett or Dekalb counties.
